Myotherapy
If you’re dealing with ongoing pain, a recurring injury, or something that hasn’t improved with standard treatment, myotherapy is designed to take a closer look at what’s actually going on.
Myotherapy is a clinical, evidence-based approach to musculoskeletal pain. It focuses on assessment as much as treatment, using orthopaedic testing and movement analysis to understand why a problem is happening, not just where you feel it.
At BodyWide, sessions are structured around that process. We start by identifying contributing factors, then use a combination of techniques, including remedial massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling, and cupping to address them. Treatment is tailored and adjusted throughout the session based on how your body responds, with the aim of achieving long-term results.

Remedial Massage
Remedial massage is a focused, hands-on treatment for muscle tension, tightness, and soft tissue pain.
It’s well suited to issues that feel local and physical such as tight shoulders from desk work, a sore lower back, or muscles that haven’t recovered properly after training. The goal is straightforward: reduce pain, improve movement, and help the area settle.
Treatment uses techniques like deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release to work directly into affected muscles and connective tissue. Sessions are practical and responsive, with pressure and approach adjusted to suit what your body needs on the day. It’s a direct way to address muscular discomfort and keep your body moving well.
Sports & Deep Tissue Massage
Sports and deep tissue massage is a general treatment designed to work through overall muscle fatigue and physical build-up.
It’s well suited to times when your body feels heavy, overused, or run down, whether from training, work, or just the accumulation of day-to-day load. There’s no focus on assessing or addressing a specific issue. Instead, the session is about giving the body a thorough, consistent treatment to help it recover and reset.
Work is broader and more continuous than remedial massage, moving through larger areas rather than concentrating on one particular spot. It isn’t aimed at resolving injuries or persistent problems. It’s a simpler approach, ideal if you’re looking for regular upkeep, post-training recovery, or to feel more at ease in your body without needing a targeted treatment.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping is a simple, effective way to reduce muscle tension and improve movement.
By creating suction on the skin, the cups lift the underlying tissue, increasing blood flow and helping tight or overworked muscles relax. It’s particularly useful for areas that feel dense, restricted, or difficult to release with hands-on work alone.
At BodyWide, cupping is usually used alongside other treatments rather than on its own. It’s applied where it makes sense, based on what we’re working on during the session.
You may notice some redness or circular marks afterwards; this is normal and typically fades within a few days.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is used to release deep muscle tension that doesn’t respond well to manual treatment alone.
It involves placing very fine needles into specific trigger points within the muscle to reduce tightness, ease pain, and restore normal function. It’s a precise technique and can be particularly helpful for stubborn or long-standing issues.
If you haven’t tried it before, it’s usually much more comfortable than people expect. Everything is explained beforehand, and treatment is always adjusted to your comfort level.
